Animal Biosciences

A major in Animal Biosciences makes animal biology come alive through topics such as genetics, reproduction, nutrition, regenerative medicine, and management. You’ll get lots of hands-on experience with horses, beef and dairy cattle, sheep, and pigs. Opportunities to research and study animals through the lens of ecology give students the chance to dive deeper into the subject. This merging of science and application will prepare you for going on to graduate or professional programs, and this major contains all courses required for entry into the College of Veterinary Medicine. Hands-on work experience with all the beef, horse, sheep, goat, and swine is available to students via internships or part-time jobs.
