Wen Williams International Travel Scholarship
From 1968-1985, Dr. F. Wen Williams was a member of the faculty in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics. Dr. Williams truly excelled in the classroom and thousands of students remember him as the best teacher they ever had. His classes in marketing and commodities futures were challenging, entertaining, and extremely popular, attracting students from various programs of the University of Georgia. He received numerous teaching awards including awards from the Southern Agricultural Economics Association and the American Agricultural Economics Association. From 1985-1997, he served as Associate Director and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at CAES. Dr. Williams retired in March of 1997.
The Wen Williams International Travel Scholarship honors Dr. Williams’ commitment to students by supporting undergraduate students participating in study abroad programs through the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences.
Eligibility
Applicants must be degree-seeking students enrolled in a CAES undergraduate program. Eligible CAES study abroad programs must bear academic credit and may include international internships, faculty-led study abroad, and/or semester exchange programs.
