Poultry house ventilation is crucial to maintaining conditions for optimum bird health and performance. Faculty share their latest research at annual workshops and enable producers to monitor conditions 24/7 through our ventilation app. Lower fuel and electricity use and improved flock health saves Georgia producers $5 million annually.
Preiminent research and outreach programs
Research conducted in the Department of Poultry Science srives to add to the base of scientific knowledge and provide information that are useful to the poultry industry in Georgia including topics like:
- improving male broiler breeder fertility,
- developing and implementing pathogen control strategies, and
