Nominations and applications for the Advancing Georgia’s Leaders in Agriculture and Forestry Program Class of 2025-2026 will open on June 1! Applications will be accepted through July 31. Participants will be selected through a nomination, application, and interview process. Anyone can serve as a nominator and submit their contact information along with the nominee's contact information with a written statement of support through this form.Prospective candidates should be actively involved in Georgia’s agriculture, forestry, natural resources and/or supporting industries and have demonstrated leadership potential. While there is no minimum education requirement, participants should be able to demonstrate leadership experience, work experience, and a high level of maturity, being the age of 25 years or older. Nominees will be invited to apply, and no more than 40 finalists will be invited to interview for the class.Each class will have up to 25 individuals diverse in age, gender, ethnicity, geographic location, professional background, and level of experience.

As the birthplace of public higher education, we cannot promise any answers to those burning questions, but we do hope to provide some relief for you and any other Auburn-area alumni on Monday, June 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Auburn Hotel. We hope you will join us to share what you have been up to since graduation, hear about the exciting things CAES has been up to, and we may even call the Dawgs while we are at it!

An exciting way to kick off the new school year, the CAES Alumni Association hosts Ag Dawg Kickoff to welcome students, faculty, and staff at the start of every fall semester. Attendees are provided with food, musical entertainment, and student club exhibits. The event allows students, faculty, and staff to interact and discover ways to get involved with activities offered by CAES.

The D.W. Brooks Lecture is named for the late D.W. Brooks, founder of Gold Kist, Inc. Brooks started Cotton States Mutual Insurance Companies in 1941. He advised seven U.S. presidents on farm and trade issues. Among his many honors, he was the first inductee into the University of Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame. CAES hosts the annual lecture series and faculty awards for excellence celebration in his memory.
