Join us for an Ag Dawgs After Hours reception in Washington, D.C.! Connect with CAES alumni and friends from the D.C. area and get a chance to meet the 2024 Ag Fellows. Dean Nick T. Place will be present and provide an update on the college. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.

As the birthplace of public higher education, we cannot promise any answers to those burning questions, but we do hope to provide some relief for you and any other Auburn-area alumni on Monday, June 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Auburn Hotel. We hope you will join us to share what you have been up to since graduation, hear about the exciting things CAES has been up to, and we may even call the Dawgs while we are at it!

An exciting way to kick off the new school year, the CAES Alumni Association hosts Ag Dawg Kickoff to welcome students, faculty, and staff at the start of every fall semester. Attendees are provided with food, musical entertainment, and student club exhibits. The event allows students, faculty, and staff to interact and discover ways to get involved with activities offered by CAES.

CAES to celebrate new graduates during May 9 convocation
Held before UGA’s undergraduate commencement ceremony, CAES Convocation is a personalized ceremony to recognize the academic accomplishments of undergraduate and graduate candidates at the college. 
2024 honorees are William D. Branch, Georgia Seed Development Professor in Peanut Breeding and Genetics in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, and Elzie Argene Claxton, an agriculture educator and 1980 CAES agricultural education graduate who went on to earn a master’s degree in 1982 and education specialist degree in 1984 from UGA’s College of Education. Innovator, educator inducted into the Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame
The Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame honors individuals making extraordinary contributions to agriculture and agribusiness industries in the state.
