Athens Campus

 

AGHON

AGHON is the highest honor a student in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, the College of Veterinary Medicine, or the College of Engineering may attain while at the University of Georgia.

Ag Econ Graduate Student Association

The Agricultural and Applied Economics Graduate Student Organization organizes social and academic events for the benefit of graduate students in the UGA Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics.

Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow

The UGA ACT club focuses on building leaders for the agriculture industry through communication efforts. The club takes part in community service projects, socials, business and industry tours and holds meetings twice a week that feature speakers or other professional development activities. Members of the UGA ACT club are also members of the National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow organization as well. The club welcomes all majors and interests.

Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication Graduate Student Association

The Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication Graduate Student Association focuses on enhancing the professional and social aspects of the graduate student experience while attending the University of Georgia.

Agricultural and Environmental Economics Club

The Agricultural and Environmental Economics Club exists to enhance the professional development of agricultural and environmental economics students by hosting programs with agricultural and environmental businesses in attendance.

Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity

The mission of AGR is to make better men - and through them - broader and better agriculture, by surrounding its members with influences tending to encourage individual endeavor, resourcefulness and aggressive effort

Alpha Zeta (Honorary)

The purpose of this fraternity is to promote agriculture while encouraging and developing actual and potential leadership.

Block and Bridle

The Block and Bridle Club is an animal science club promoting a higher scholastic standard and more complete understanding of animal science among its student members. Each year the club hosts several events, including the Great Southland Stampede Rodeo.

CAES Ambassadors - Athens

The mission of the CAES Ambassadors is to recruit potential students, represent the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in a professional manner, and develop relationships which foster growth and leadership.

Cattlemen's Association at UGA

The mission of the UGA Cattlemen's Association is to unite cattle producers to advance the economic, political, and social interests of Georgia's cattle industry while being an affiliate of the Georgia Cattlemen's Association.

Collegiate 4-H

UGA Collegiate 4-H enables members to make a difference in the community through service and volunteerism with local 4-H clubs and the University of Georgia community.

Collegiate FFA

Collegiate FFA helps to enhance the collegiate experience through service and engagement to create premier leaders, enable personal growth and ensure career success.

Dairy Science Club

Dairy Science Club engages students with a sincere interest in agriculture and the dairy industry in community service and other projects that support the dairy industry.

Food Science Club

The Food Science Club is a club for those majoring in or interested in the field of Food Science. We are a professional development and social club. Typical activities include listening to guest speakers from the industry, making food products and having fun.

CAES Graduate Student Association

The CAES Graduate Student Association is a representative and social-oriented organization comprised of graduate students from every department within CAES. Each year departmental professionals nominate two graduate students they believe exemplify successful and driven individuals to serve as representatives in the CAES Graduate Student Association.

H.O. Lund Entomology Club

The H.O. Lund Entomology Club is a service and social-oriented student organization composed primarily of graduate students in the Department of Entomology, but membership is also open to undergraduates and anyone else interested in the science of entomology, including faculty and staff.

Horticulture Club

Horticulture Club stimulates student interest in horticulture by providing opportunities for practical career-related experience, encourages a spirit of cooperation among students in horticulture, provides horticulture students with opportunities for leadership within the UGA community, and acquaints students with people and organizations in the professional horticulture community.

Horticulture Graduate Student Association

The Horticulture Graduate Student Association at the UGA is the organization that provides graduate student members an opportunity to organize meetings, seminars, field trips, and other functions to broaden and stimulate the professional interests of the members.

Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences

MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) is a national organization of students and professionals from a variety of racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Our mission is to promote academic and professional development by empowering and linking together all students working in the food, environmental, and agricultural sciences.

Pi Alpha Xi (Honorary)

Pi Alpha Xi was originally established to unify students, educators, and professional horticulturists. The society promotes high scholarship, fellowship, professional leadership, and the enrichment of human life through plants.

Poultry Science Club

Students in the Poultry Science Club interact with faculty and staff in the poultry science department and develop relationships with industry contacts looking to hire for internships and careers. Club events include cookouts at the Poultry Research Farm, bonfires, bowling, and more. Club members can also attend the International Processing and Production Expo each year.

Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club

The Pre-Vet Club is a student organization whose members are interested in veterinary medicine and gaining admission into vet school. Club activities aim to enhance knowledge and experience within the veterinary medicine field and include guest speakers, community service and volunteer activities, philanthropic events, and field trips. The club also aims to help students prepare for the application process into vet school.

Regenerative Bioscience Undergraduate Society

The Regenerative Bioscience Undergraduate Society aims to cultivate a community of students interested in the field of Regenerative Bioscience and equip these students with resources to develop their professional and interpersonal skills.

Sigma Alpha Sorority

Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship among its members. Around September of the fall semester, Sigma Alpha at UGA hosts a week-long rush recruitment period where all women are invited to take part.

Society of Aspiring Plant Pathologists

SAPP was established to foster relationships among grad students, post-doctoral associations, and faculty in the plant pathology department, and fosters professional development through outreach programs and student teaching. The society also participates in the development of programs to enhance the graduate student experience at UGA.

CAES Student Philanthropy Council (SPC)

The SPC is a group comprised of undergraduate and graduate students whose mission is to help build a culture of philanthropy within CAES’s student body.

UGArden

UGArden Club meets weekly to help support the goals of UGArden by harvesting, planting, etc. In addition to working in the fields, UGArden club sponsors two annual events, Fall Festival and South by South Milledge, bringing community clubs and organizations together to promote UGArden and community food efforts.

Young Farmers and Ranchers

UGA Young Farmers and Ranchers is committed to cultivating leaders across the UGA campus to promote and enhance the agricultural industry. In affiliation with the Georgia Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers, UGA YF&R can connect members to the industry state and nationwide. Members focus on promoting the industry throughout the campus, the community, and beyond to support an ever-growing, ever-changing industry. In return, YF&R members become equipped leaders to tackle the issues the agriculture industry will face in the future.

Tifton Campus


Agribusiness Club

The UGA Tifton Agribusiness Club is for all majors. Student members enjoy the opportunity to fellowship, collaborate on entrepreneurial projects and develop leadership skills. Members promote and learn about all aspects of agribusiness from industry professionals. Students gain insight into potential careers and acquire professional development experience. Service opportunities enable students to network with agricultural businesses and volunteer throughout the local community and state.

CAES Ambassadors - Tifton

The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences has an ambassador program for student recruitment and public relations on its Tifton Campus. The mission of Tifton's CAES Ambassadors is to recruit potential students, represent the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in a professional manner, and develop relationships which foster growth and leadership.

Collegiate FFA - Tifton

Collegiate FFA is an opportunity for students in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences to remain involved in the National FFA Organization. Through volunteering at area, state, and national career development events, members have the opportunity to network with other collegiate members as well as agriculture professionals.


In addition to student organizations, the UGA Tifton campus hosts various events and activities to help students grow professionally or just have a good time!
