Sep 22 Cotton Boll & Consumer Judging - practice The Consumer Decision Making Contest teaches 4-H'ers how to observe, compare and make decisions based on facts collected. It also provides experience in organizing thoughts and defending decisions with oral reasons. In this contest, 4-H'ers learn to rank articles or products over others based on standards and quality, 4-H'ers will evaluate consumer items and tell why they think one is better than the other.

Sep 24 Discover Master Forager - 2025 Learn how to safely wild harvest with UGA Extension. This series will cover topics ranging from acorn processing to uses for herbaceous plants to a dye project. Become a Master Forager with a Hands-on 12 month series! Dates: - Wednesday, September 24, 2025* - Kick-off Program - Wednesday, October 1, 2025 - Wednesday, October 29, 2025* - November OFF - December OFF - Wednesday, January 28, 2026* - Wednesday, February 25, 2026 - Wednesday, March 25, 2026* - Wednesday, April 29, 2026 - Wednesday, May 27, 2026* - Wednesday, June 24, 2026 - Wednesday, July 29, 2026* - Graduation Times: * Full-day program 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Extension Site in Griffin or Meansville All other programs will be optional labs 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., locations TBA Deadline to register is Monday, September 22, 2025! Space is limited so register early! Must be 18 or older to participate!

Sep 25 Pike County 4-H Archery Open House Grades 4th-12th are invited to join us for our Pike County Archery Open House! Thursday, September 25th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Pike Outfitters.
